Alex Hines is a comedian, creative, writer, teacher and voice over artist. As satirical popstar Juniper Wilde, she won a Green Room Award 2022 for Best Production (Digital). She also was awarded Best Feminist Work and Best Work by an Emerging Artist, (New Zealand Touring Award) at The Melbourne Fringe Awards 2021, as well as being nominated for Best Work in the Festival. Alex was cast in Canadian animated sketch comedy series Night Drives. Alex played the titular role in Melbourne TV series Dee-Brief (Channel 10). A RAW Comedy state finalist, Alex debuted her solo comic career with a sold-out season at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and was nominated for Best Comedy in the 2018 Melbourne Fringe Festival for Queenz. As a 2019 recipient of the Ian Potter Cultural Fund, Alex underwent intensive training in LA at The Groundlings, UCB and Second City. Along with extensive film and theatre credits, Alex has voiced multiple roles in two seasons of ABC podcast The Fitzroy Diaries. Most recently she received critical acclaim for her show, To Schapelle and Back at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
