Julian Curtis is a writer, director and actor for stage and screen. 

As a writer, he has been produced twice by Screen QLD and his debut play was developed by Playwriting Australia which premiered as part of Laboite HWY program. IN 2024, he directed the world premiere of The Norman Mailer Anecdote [Queensland Theatre, Big Scary Animal Productions] by Anthony Mullins.

Julian’s onstage credits include Horizon for Playlab Theatre and the Australian tour of Gaslight directed by Lee Lewis at Queensland Theatre. 

He is a series regular on the US series Are You Afraid of the Dark, is nominated for a 2024 Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Series. Upcoming cinema releases include a lead in Australian thriller First Moon and a supporting role in US drama Battle of Bushy Run.

He is a NIDA graduate; a Matilda winner for True West directed by Marcel Dorney; Just for Laughs Montreal finalist; and recipient of the Marten Bequest.
