Peta has been acknowledged as one of Australia’s leading tap dancers.  She has taken the world by storm, combining her expertise in Irish and tap dance styles to create unique rhythms which fuse together these exhilarating and percussive forms of dance.

Growing up in Sydney, Peta started dancing at the ripe old age of three. She attended McDonald College of the Arts, and after finishing high school she went on to complete a Diploma in Performing Arts at Melbourne’s Dance World Studios. After graduating, she immediately toured Australia and NZ in The Rhythms of Ireland, followed up by performances in Dance of Desire, which toured throughout China. In 2011, a trip to Ireland saw Peta successfully participating in national broadcaster RTE’s Dance Off, which led to her landing the role of ‘Aisling’ in NOCTU, the ground-breaking Irish stage show telling the story of Irish dance from the view point of the dancer. Peta later travelled to New York in NOCTU, where the production received two Broadway Drama Desk Award nominations. Following this success, Peta joined the cast of Riverdance on their 20th anniversary international tour, visiting Australia, NZ, Ireland, Europe, the UK, and China. While on tour, Peta also managed to have a starring role in the original production of Heartbeat of Home, an electrifying stage show created by the producers and director of Riverdance. The show went on to tour Ireland, China, and Canada. The final part of her international adventures saw Peta on stage in the UK arena tour of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, performing alongside Blue, Ashley Roberts, Peter Andre and Westlife.

Following her return home in 2016, Peta toured Australia for Kermond Creative in their sensational cabaret, Spiegel’esque.

Currently Sydney-based, Peta choreographed, produced, and starred in the brand new show, Eireborne, which fuses contemporary jazz, tap, and ballet with an all-Irish soundtrack from artists such as Enya, U2, Van Morrison, and, Hozier. Eireborne went on to international success with seasons in Switzerland and Germany.

Peta has a growing reputation as a choreographer, and is currently choreographer on Drummer Queens, a new show directed and created by Nigel Turner-Carroll and Joe Accaria.

In addition to her skills as a dancer, Peta is recognised worldwide as a Capezio athlete, and was named in the top 30 most inspirational athletes of 2017.

In recognition of her expertise, Peta was invited to join the judging panel at the Australian Tap Festival, the 2018 London Tap Intensive, and the 2019 UK Tap Festival in Manchester.
